What: Caldwell TEA Party Meeting
When: 7pm Wednesday, August 18
Where: Caldwell County Main Library, 120 Hospital Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645
Our guest will be a representative from Senator Richard Burr‘s office, current Republican Senator from NC! And hopefully someone from Elaine Marshall‘s office, Democrat candidate for US Senate will be there, too. (Ms. Marshall has been invited, but they are still trying to arrange their schedule so they can be here.) Bring your friends. Bring your kids! Let’s all become more informed. We are not a political party, just a group of concerned citizens. Downstairs at the library, 7pm.

- Bus trip details (handouts, I will have them this time!!!)
- BRING YOUR LAPTOP computers to the meeting, we want to copy Independence Caucus DVD’s. Bring a couple of DVD-R’s also.
- Is anyone attending government meetings? If so I’d like to hear what you heard.
- We need a committee of people to write some candidate survey questions so we can begin officially ranking candidates. All part of voter education.
- Is there any interest in going to DC on 9/12?

Caldwell TEA Party 
I wish to attend the 9-12 event in DC. Could we get a bus going. And also will it cost much to go. I am currently unemployed and don’t have the money to fly to DC. I hate that I will miss 8/28. I just love going to events like this. I feel that I am making a difference and making history.
We don’t currently have a bus scheduled to go on 9/12, but there are several groups sending buses. We will decide after 8/28 if we are going to have a 9/12 bus. Our site has several groups. These groups below will have buses going on 9/12.
8/28 DC trip – We-The-People NC-PAC has many buses going. $64 round trip. Leaving from several cities, the closest are Concord and Asheville/Arden, NC. Call Ric Starnes 704-782-6701 or 704-400-5547 (Info given to me on 8-15-10.) Here’s is link: http://www.wethepeoplenc.org/828bus.htm As of 8/17, they need to sell their remaining 21 seats on the Asheville/Arden, NC, bus or else they will have to cancel that bus. LAST DAY TO BUY TICKETS IS FRIDAY, 8/20. Please go to the website, pick the city, and pay online. Print the instructions for where and when to meet. Done.
8/28 “Restoring Honor” in DC – Yadkin Valley TEA Party has several cars and church vans caravanning up to DC on 8/28, Contact Mark Hagar TEA1773 [at] YADTEL [dot] NET. http://www.yadkinvalleyteaparty.com. They will have buses going to DC on 9/11-12. (Info given to me on 8-15-10.)
