The school board race outcome puzzled me.  There was huge contention within the community about the middle school.  The current school board missed the fact that they lost two important, and rather large, pools of state funding.  At first they asked for county and state officials to help them keep the money, then they denied they lost it, then they blamed it on others, then just before Early Voting began saying they knew the money wasn’t there and had no intention of building the school when they found out the money was gone.  The story just keeps changing.  In reality, they lost funding more the one-year ago and didn’t tell the truth about it.  (See the April 27, 2010, county commission meeting if you think they really didn’t know.)  The people of Caldwell County have voted and 4 out of 5 incumbents have been rewarded with another term.  Good luck and Congratulations school board!  We will be watching you.

Not all the TEA Party backed candidates all over the country won, but a huge number did!  The TEA Party is now a real political force without being a Party.  We are just an army of Conservatives.  We’ve learned so much from this 2010 election.  I’ve taken notes and am ready to make a lot of adjustments for 2012.  TEA was Taxed Enough Already.  Now, I think you could call us a Totally Effective Army (TEA).

Let me make this crystal clear – Republicans in office are on probation! You work for us.  We hired you for your Conservative ideas, not for you to compromise with Democrats!!!  You work for us and we want spending to stop!!!  You work for us – reduce the size of government.  You work for us – stop printing money and monetizing debt. You work for us – learn what is in the Constitution and apply it.  You are accountable to us and God for what you do!  That means, stay out of our everyday lives!  For example, I will not buy government approved light bulbs or medical insurance!

I’m really sorry Christine O’Donnell didn’t win her Senate race in DE.  Niki Haley won her race for governor of SC!!!!

The two heavy hitters in California, Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina, both lost, but honestly they were hardly fiscal or social Conservatives.  Don’t get me wrong, Carly would have been a heck of a lot better that Barbara Boxer!  Meg probably would have been better than Arnold Schwartzenager.  But since both were such moderates, they just didn’t get Conservatives to the polls.

Harry Reid appears to have won, but there are widespread allegations of fraud throughout Nevada.  We’ll see how this plays out over the next few days.

Write-in ballots are being counted in Alaska for that Senate seat.  We won’t know the results for a while though.  If it goes to the (R), it could help take Republican 46 – Democrat 52, to 47-51.  There is another Senate race that is contended and could go (R) 48-50.  That would give the Democrats the smallest of margins for control, but it probably won’t give the veto proof majority we so need to easily repeal overreaching, unconstitutional legislation.

Obama gave a press conference yesterday, 11/3/10. He still doesn’t get it!!!  (I’ll post more separately.)

About Christine

I believe in the CONSERVATIVE principles and values of the Republican Party as they are written, and not how they are currently practiced by today's RINO's. Smaller government, lower taxes, more personal responsibility, states' rights, free market capitalism, and less government intrusion in our lives!
