Republican Precinct Meetings

• Date: Monday, Feb. 21st
• Time: 6pm (do not be late, arrive 30 minutes early if possible.)

• Who:  All registered Republican’s residing in Caldwell County.

I think the county, state, and country’s money problems are so urgent and dire, that we all need to be involved in politics now.

This is very important: Notice was quietly given that precinct meetings of the Caldwell County Republican Party will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, February 21, 2011, at your local precinct location. This is your opportunity to make any changes to Republican leadership you deem necessary to advance your particular issues. This will also be your opportunity to sign up to be a precinct officer (Chairman, Vice-Chairman or Secretary) in your individual precinct.  All precinct officers serve for a two-year period and will be vital in all the work during the 2012 Gubernatorial and President elections.  We need leadership.  “You can’t just sit there and hope somebody else does something.” Call me with any questions 754-8039.

The purpose of these countywide precinct meetings is to organize at the precinct level and “elect” delegates for the county convention on March 19th.  On 3/19, a county Chairman will be elected by delegates from the precinct meetings.   You must be a precinct delegate to vote on officers at the county convention.  (Typically, delegates just sign up, there’s no real elections or speeches.  This is your time to have a direct impact on your party’s direction.) Make sure you see your name on the list.

The next GOP regular meeting is March 8th at the library. This is your opportunity to bring about the change YOU want to see in these local parties.  My focus is paying down a $14.1 trillion national debt, cutting spending, smaller government, and less taxes.  Your focus might be different.  Come meet these people and work with them.

Also, delegates are the only people permitted to go to the District and State Conventions this year.  There will be a new State GOP Chairman elected in June.  You can have a hand in these important elections.

Democrat Party County Convention

• Date:  Saturday, April 9th
• Time: 11am
• Location:  Caldwell County Office Building in the city/county chamber on Harper Ave.

If you are a Democrat, for the same reasons I state above, you should attend the Democrat Convention.  This is your opportunity to bring about the change YOU want to see in these local parties.  My focus is paying down a $14.1 trillion national debt, smaller government, and less taxes.  Your focus might be different.  Meet these people and work with them.
