News from the week, 2/25

Counter rally in Raleigh supporting Wisconsin’s Scott Walker’s effort to curtail government workers’ budget busting collective bargaining.  I call it – legalized extortion. The two sides (pro-union and anti-union)  had about equal numbers.

The only graph you need to see regarding the federal budget.  It’s not pretty. And it’s not sustainable.

“Tea Partyers Say Budget Cuts Don’t Go Far Enough.”  Some Repub’s just don’t get it yet, as evidenced by their pride in cutting a measly $60 billion from a $3.5 trillion budget.   Democrat could cut that much.  What is sooooo hard to understand about STOP SPENDING!???

(And really liked Joe Barton’s stand on reducing vaccination injury my eliminated such poisons in childhood vaccines like Thimerisol (mercury).)

Michael Barone writes a great piece about new Republican Governors Christie (NJ) and Daniels (IN) and there urging US Lawmakers to get busy on balancing the federal budget.

Outstanding illustration of Obama’s abuse of power over the last two years.  What if Palin had done these things?

The Green Police are getting closer and closer.  Spain is reducing highway speeds to reduce energy consumption.

The best government and political news in North Carolina.

Video title: “Is this the stupidest person ever?” This analytical heavyweight says, “Food is free.  All you have to do is pay the farmers and pay for the land.  And then we can sell it at the farmers’ market. It’s free.” wtf?

This why I don’t live in California any more.  These people are everywhere.  Well, they aren’t a majority, but they are an outspoken group that somehow gets their way.  Urgh!

Wisconsin’s new Republican Governor campaigned on curb union benefits and balancing the state’s budget.  He’s making good on that promise.  What you are seeing there is the final days of unions.  I hope.

About Christine

I believe in the CONSERVATIVE principles and values of the Republican Party as they are written, and not how they are currently practiced by today's RINO's. Smaller government, lower taxes, more personal responsibility, states' rights, free market capitalism, and less government intrusion in our lives!
