11/6 – Caldwell TEA Party After-the-Election dinner and party beginning 7pm at Super Dog in Lenoir on Wilkesboro Blvd (Hwy-18) immediately after the polls close. There will have wi-fi (bring your laptops) and a big screen TV with cable. Support this new local business – buy your dinner here! He’s staying open as late as we want to watch all the results come in. Everyone is welcome for the celebration!! If Obama wins, Christine is shaving her head. ~~~ Obama won. My husband was not amused by my wager. We negotiated, and I cut half my hair off. I’m still working on losing the rest. Everyone has said, “Don’t do it. We get it. Don’t do it.”
11/8 – No meeting for Caldwell TEA Party.
11/12 – Training for Lt. Governor’s Provisional Ballot count observation. There will be two 20-minute conference call times: 10am and 7pm on Monday. Here is a letter from Forest. Many eyes are needed to ensure fairness. Email Hal@danforest.com to enroll and get the conference call details. In the email he needs your name, phone number and county you can watch. Linda Coleman (D) lost the race by 11,000 votes, but is already posturing for a union funded re-count. 11/15 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting at SUPER DOG at 7pm. We will talk about plans for the next year, please come. I have training programs to talk about. I need everyone’s input. 11/16 – Election’s Canvass Day to finalize all the votes in Caldwell County and across the state. This is open for observation. For the time, call Caldwell County Board of Elections at 828-757-1326. It may be at 11am on Friday.
Meeting on TUESDAY, 11/20, at 5:45pm at Super Dog. I attended a great meeting today in Kernersville with 63 TEA Party leaders from central NC. There’s a plan and a date for a NC TEA-PAC Conference scheduled for January 11-12, 2013, tentatively in Greensboro with a nationally recognized speaker. (I’ll let you know who they’re trying to get at the meeting.) I’d like as many of you to attend this meeting as possible so I can explain the focus of the NC TEA-PAC Conference. Last year we saw so many people, ate great food, unique handmade crafts, and the beer garden!!! Caldwell Republican Club will have November Endorsements lists to pass out.

Second City for President doles out laughter at the expense of both sides of the aisle, as well as improv comedy that is decidedly unpolitical, uncensored, and unabashedly hilarious. 8/2 – Catawba County GOP – Our speakers for the August 2 meeting are NC Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby and Dan Eichenbaum. Dan will give a presentation on the subject of Agenda 21. The men and women meet at Adrian Shuford YMCA off Emmanuel Church Rd, in The Sparkman Building, also known as the Red Barn. The women’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. The men’s social time is 6-6:30 p.m. with their business meeting beginning at 6:30. I was so excited to see the party getting publicly on board with fight Agenda 21. I also want to say how blessed I am to have my mom there with me and my 20-year old daughter. This was my daughter’s first state convention and she was in her own element there – networking with the best of them!

We have some important information to discuss about the iCaucus candidate endorsement participation. It is really important to understand the process. I’m going attempt to explain it fully. I’ll walk everyone through registration, and as many question as possible. I did two iCaucus interviews last week. There are four more planned for this week. 3/29 – Caldwell TEA Party / Caldwell County Republican Women’s joint meeting — All County Commission candidates invited to give remarks and take several questions: Clay Bollinger, Phil Ingle, Ben Griffin, Arnold Wilson, Randy Church, Tommy Courtner have confirmed. Jeff Branch has not confirmed yet. Everyone in the community is invited to this meeting.

2/7 – Caldwell TEA Party regular meeting, TUESDAY, 7pm at the Library. Our guest will be US House candidate Kenny West (R) from Hayesville, NC. Other candidates and/or their representatives will be present as well.
2/16 – Caldwell TEA Party regular meeting, THURSDAY, 7pm at the Library. Important guest Guest Pete McIllwain will join us with news about the state of affairs regarding the Middle East. (McIllwain’s bio to be posted soon.) Please bring 3 friends. I promise it will be well worth it! You won’t like what you hear, but you’ll be more informed.
2/18 – Defense of Marriage Rally and free breakfast addressing the Primary Ballot issue all North Carolinians will be voting on in May. Saturday from 9am – 11am at Granny’s Kitchen, 3448 Miller Bridge Rd, in Ichard. located off I-40 at Exit 116. Hosted by Mark Meadows candidate for US House, “The threat of our state’s definition of marriage is real. In fact, NC is the only remaining southern state that has not protected the definition of marriage in its constitution.”
2/22– Caldwell TEA Party meeting, WEDNESDAY, NEW TIME 10-11:30am at the library. This is our second daytime meeting. Since many of those who were at the last meeting were new to the group, I think we will talk about the information on the website, facebook, and twitter. There are so important political activities coming up that I would like to discuss. I’ll share candidate info from the internet with everyone so you can do your own research.
2/13-29 – Filing period for federal offices with NC State Board of Elections link. (Rumors are swirling about possible changes to the filing date, Primary election date because of re-districting lawsuits filed by the Democrat party. There is a possibility the filing dates will be pushed back to April, the Primary in July, and Run-off date in August in North Carolina. But nothing is firm yet, 1/18/12.)

1/3 – Caldwell TEA Party regular meeting, TUESDAY, 7pm at the Caldwell County Library, 120 Hospital Ave., Lenoir, NC 28645. This will be a business meeting roundtable open to all. On the agenda: elections, candidates, phone banks, finding “your candidate”, and other business. Information on Defense of Marriage Amendment. If possible, we will try to get the Iowa Caucus results and discuss them before we go home.
1/5 – Burke County GOP meeting. 6pm dinner at Granny’s Kitchen in Ichard just off exit 116 on I-40. 7pm meeting. This is one of the friendliest meetings you’ll ever attend!
1/18 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting, WEDNESDAY, NEW TIME 10-11:30am at the library. This is our first daytime meeting. Our guests: NC Senate and Caldwell County Commission candidates. Mike LaBrose, Ben Griffin, and Clay Bollinger will join us, but Rob Bratcher will not be able to attend. NC Senator Dan Soucek will be in Raleigh and will not be able to join us, but will be there tomorrow night. NC Senator Warren Daniel will not be able to join us, he will be in Cleveland county at a TEA Party meeting tomorrow. It looks like this will be a County Commission focused meeting. We held a quick straw poll. We will vote again 1/19 and combine the totals for a snapshot.
1/19 – Caldwell TEA Party regular meeting, THURSDAY, 7pm at the Library. Our guests: NC House, NC Senate and Caldwell County Commission candidates. Jordan Greene, NC House candidate has confirmed, as well as Representative Edgar Starnes and NC Senator Dan Soucek will join us this evening. County Commissioners and candidates will join us again also. Quick Straw Poll will be taken and combined with the results of yesterday’s meeting count and then up here.
