Thank you for the calls you made to you’re Congressman’s office. These calls really do make a difference. We will have to make more soon. Tea Party Patriots is keeping in close contact with the Freedom Caucus Congressman and will let us know what our next move is.  As they are still interviewing and vetting candidates for Speaker.  When they decide on the right guy for Speaker, the word will be passed along to TPP and we will get another call.  This is a chess game and we must win! Boehner is going and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy has dropped out of the race. These are big wins for America and conservatism.

I got a robo call today at 4pm, from Jenny Beth Martin thanking us, Caldwell TEA Party, for this victory. She said she was so proud of this accomplishment today and it wouldn’t be possible without the help of the grassroots groups. She called this a huge win! Her press release:

“The resignation of John Boehner and the withdrawal of his hand-picked successor Kevin McCarthy marks an historic event – recognition on the part of GOP congressional leaders that they are out of touch with the base of the party, and acknowledgement that their era of ‘leadership’ is over.

“Mr. McCarthy’s decision to acknowledge the reality that he is not the best GOP candidate for Speaker is a victory for the tens of thousands of grassroots conservatives who have been calling on their GOP Representatives to change course.

Their courage and the energy of the grassroots activists made this historic moment possible.”

Our Congressman, Mark Meadows, was on Sean Hannity’s radio show this afternoon. He is hopeful they can find the right person to be Speaker. Hannity also interviewed former Speaker Newt Gingrich today and seemed to lean toward him for a good Speaker idea. Hannity asked Meadows if the Freedom Caucus had consider Gingrich. Meadows said they have considered many.

In contrast to Hannity’s show, Mark Levin is saying tonight that the Freedom Caucus needs to find the best conservative they can find THAT IS ELECTABLE. This is a very important point. Levin is not crazy about Daniel Webster because he has a “D” rating with Conservative Review. Webster’s rating us slightly better than Paul Ryan. Do we really need Paul Ryan as Speaker? That “D” rating is too poor for our next Speaker, in Levin’s opinion. He suggests that maybe, maybe, they need to look outside the current House if someone like Hensarling or Jordan will not step up as Speaker. Levin is worried if this drags out too long, the Republican establishment will cut a deal with Pelosi. We all lose if that happens. On Levin’s show, Hensarling was interviewed and he is supporting Daniel Webster no matter what. Hensarling explained that Webster will be fair and run the House like he did in Florida that was revolutionary to end the power-base rule and allows every member to have they say.

This time in politics is nothing usual. It is government at work. Fear not. Call your Congressman, especially if they are on the fence about the wrong candidate.
