Trump says William F. Buckley would have been “ashamed” of NR’s cover on Trump. Er, in 2000 Buckley wrote a great column for Cigar Aficionado slamming Trump as a “demagogue” and “narcissist.” I don’t think he was a fan then; does anyone think Trump has changed his style since? The 2000 article also includes why ethanol subsidies were a scam then (as they are now!) This is crony capitalism, the government picking winners and losers.
