12/1 – 12/21 – NC candidate filing period for partisan races (i.e., Democrat, Republican, Libertarian).

12/1 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting 7pm. Discuss ordering shirts, pricing, and having them available for pickup at the next meeting, 12/15. As always all candidates welcome! 12/8 -Tuesday 6:30pm Caldwell County Republican Party CHRISTMAS DINNER at Cedar Rock Country Club $25. Newly elected NCGOP Chairman Hasan Harnett will be the Keynote Speaker. If your birthday is on an even day, bring a girl gift. If your birthday is on an odd day, bring a boy gift. $5 discount, if you bring an unwrapped gift for needy children in our county (to be distributed by Caldwell County DSS).  RSVP an email to Iris Whitt: iwhitt118 [at] gmail [dot] com. 12/15 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting 7pm. HexGen Operator (HGO) training with security expert Randy Martin. This will be a 90-minute free presentation about the basics of taking control of a potential hostage or active shooter situation. There will be a fee for Subsequent classes. 7pm at the Caldwell County Library, 120 Hospital Ave, Lenoir, NC  28645.

11/1 –  ELECTION DAY for municipal offices

11/3 – Caldwell TEA Party planning meeting. 7pm at the Library. Guests: Tyler Sain from Concern Veterans for American (CV4A.org) to discuss the “launching a campaign called Tour of Duty on October 29th, in which for the next year, we are going to fight to mobilize not only veterans and their families, but all conservatives in our area to vote for a President that is serious about our veterans and our liberties.” Link.     ….  7pm at the Caldwell County Library, 120 Hospital Ave., Lenoir, NC  28645.

11/10 – Caldwell County Republican Party meeting at 7pm at West Caldwell High School auditorium will be a book signing by Former NC Governor Jim Martin (R) with John Hood  from the John Locke Foundation. ($100 per person Reception at the Chairman’s house before the book signing. Call Steve Bogdan.)

11/14 – NCGOP Hall of Fame Dinner. Local NC Rep. Edgar Starnes is nominated for a Hall of Fame Award. NCGOP link. VIP Reception 5:30pm. Dinner and awards at 7pm. Embassy Suites in Cary, NC. Tickets start at $80 per person.

11/17 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting. Movie about women living under Islam.  7pm at the Caldwell County Library, 120 Hospital Ave., Lenoir, NC  28645.

11/19 – Yadkin Valley TEA Party will host guest Jan Morgan, woman who refused to allow Muslims to shoot are her PRIVATE gun range, the Gun Cave. Location Changed: Farmington Community Center, 1723 Farmington Rd, Mocksville, NC 27028. Exit 174 off I-40. At 7pm tonight. She said THIS in Sept. 2014, “The primary reasons I am do not want muslims shooting at my range are listed:  1) The Koran (which I have read and studied thoroughly) and (which muslims align themselves with), contains 109 verses commanding hate, murder and terror against all human beings who refuse to submit or convert to Islam.”  Read more here.

10/4 – 6pm Moore TEA Citizens will be hosting a lecture by Milwaukee County Sheriff, David A. Clarke, Jr.  The event will benefit two excellent military-focused charities, Military Missions In Action and the Fisher House Foundation. 10/6 – NO Caldwell TEA Party meeting. Sorry.

10/20 – TUESDAY – Caldwell TEA Party meeting. Mark Meadows will be sending Wayne King (staff) to update us for this meeting. We’ll be back in business. There will be a discussion on: House Speaker’s race, Freedom Caucus, TEA Party Patriots actions, important Medicare information (it’s open enrollment season for your drug plans (Part D) and Medicare Advantage (it is not a Supplement)), planning session for meeting schedule and candidates we want to hear from between now and March 15, 2016. 9/3 – REP. MARK MEADOWS TOWNHALL MEETING 6:30-8pm at West Caldwell High School, 300 W. Caldwell Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.

9/9 – STOP IRAN RALLY in Washington DC. There is a rally planned for the Capitol with speakers like Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. There are no buses leaving from this area, so most will be driving their own cars to VA and taking the Metro train into DC for the rally. TEA Party Patriots is sponsoring this rally. No Caldwell TEA Party meetings in August.

8/25 – Candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction Rosemary Fernandez-Stein will address the Caldwell Republican Women at Bud’s Diner on Hwy-18 in Lenoir at 7pm (6pm for dinner). Stein has strong opinions on Common Core and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. She is a pediatrician and sees the emotional damage done by Common Core on a daily basis. 8/27 – YADKIN VALLEY TEA PARTY will be hosting FoxNews contributor and Retired ICE Special Agent Mike Cutler at their next meeting 8/27 at 7pm at Iredell County Public Library in Statesville, NC. JULY  2015

No meetings in July.

JUNE 2015

6/2 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting.  This meeting will be a planning meeting. Bring your ideas for the 2016 election.  This will be at the Caldwell County Public Library, 120 Hospital Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645.

6/5-7 – NCGOP Convention in Raleigh. You must have attended the county convention and signed up to be a delegate to the state convention in order to be eligible. However, you can go watch the convention business and attend fundraiser dinners, etc… without being a delegate, you just can’t vote.

6/9 –  Caldwell GOP Executive Committee meeting at the library at 7pm. Open to all Caldwell County registered Republicans.

6/10 – Caldwell GOP Precinct meeting for Hibriten precinct at 6:30pm at the library.

6/16 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting.  Movie “The Border States of America”about illegal immigration hosted by Nick Searcy and produced by TEA Party Patriots. Our friend Mark Hager did the videography. This movie premiered with a red carpet event in Los Angeles earlier this year. 6/25 – Yadkin Valley TEA Party – former Dona Ana County, NM, Sheriff Todd Garrison will be speaking about the current state of the border with Mexico. He is the leader of the Southwestern Boarder Sheriffs Coalition (SWBSC).  Garrison was a key figure in our documentary “The Border States of America.” He is scheduled to speak Thursday June 25 at 7 pm in the community room at the Iredell County Library.  RSVP to John Moorefield at: fieldmoore [at] att [dot] net. It’s with great pleasure to confirm that former Dona Ana County, NM Sheriff Todd Garrison will be coming to speak to us about the current state of the border with Mexico. Sheriff Garrison not only has been involved in the security and defense of his county and state but also filled the boots of legendary Sheriff Larry Dever and assumed the leadership of the Southwestern Boarder Sheriffs Coalition (SWBSC). Garrison was a key figure in our documentary “The Border States of America.” Since 2014, the SWBSC has joined with the Texas Boarder Sheriffs Coalition (TBSC) under the leadership of Don Reay and together seeks to education and inform law enforcement and grassroots organizations about the impending crisis along our Southern Border. MAY 2015

5/5 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting. Candidate for NCGOP State Chair CRAIG COLLINS an attorney from Gastonia.  This will be at the Caldwell County Public Library, 120 Hospital Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645.

5/14 – Thursday – Caldwell TEA Party – NC State Representative George Robinson and NC Rep. Robert Brawley will be at the Lenoir library at 7:00pm  to give us an update on what is going in Raleigh with attention to the Road Tolls that are being discussed.

5/19 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting. Candidate for NCGOP State Chair AJ DAOUD 6th District Chair.  (Also, another candidate running for NCGOP Chairmanship, Hasan Harnett, will be speaking at a Charlotte TEA Party meeting at 6pm and will try to make it up to see us by 8pm.) This will be at the Caldwell County Public Library, 120 Hospital Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645.

 APRIL 2015

4/7 – NO TEA Party MEETING.

4/14 – Caldwell County GOP meeting.  New Committee introductions and reports. The Chairman details his plan forward for the next 2 years. “It’s not going to be business as usual,” said Bill Stone.

4/15 –  C-POWER is having their meeting at Olive Garden in Wilkesboro.  Trevor Loudon is the guest speaker.  Here is a quick video of his.  You’ll want to be there to hear what he has to say. I believe he is having a book signing as well for “Barack Obama and the Enemies Within” and “Enemies Within: Communists, Socialists, and Progressives in the US Government.” He has been publicly highlighting Obama’s ties to Communists/Communism. 4/21 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting. . DISCUSSION about the Trevor Loudon presentation and short video. We will share Loudon’s dream team for 2016. Our speaker will be the new Caldwell County GOP Chairman Pete McIllwain. You will like what he had to say about unifying the party. As usual, the meeting will be at the Caldwell County Public Library, 120 Hospital Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645.

4/25 – 11th District GOP Convention.

  MARCH 2015

3/3 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting.  Richard Holloway of Lenoir has just been appointed by Gov Pat McCrory to replace Judge Dellinger of the 25 District Court. Judge Holloway was with the district attorney’s office for the past 16 years so he is very familiar with the District Court system. Come and meet with him.  Also some discussion of Net Neutrality and what it means for us.

3/5 – Caldwell Dems General Party meeting will be this Thursday at 5:30pm at 622 West Ave (in the basement office). There is a parking lot and street parking. This is in downtown Lenoir right beside the Rescue building – very near the Post Office. We are organizing precincts – hope to see you there! Website.

3/12 – Convention of States conference call. See instructions here.

3/14 – Caldwell County Republican Party county convention. Starts at 9am, registration opens around 8am. Breakfast food will be available to purchase. This is open to all registered Republicans living in Caldwell County. You must be a registered Republican by 1/31/15. It is free. This is your best and only chance all year to make changes to YOUR party. A new Chairman will be elected at this convention. DOORS WILL CLOSE AT 9AM. 3/17 – Caldwell TEA Party meeting with guest Mike Faulkenberry a national director with the Convention of States Project will be our guest. It is important for us to find out why a convention is possible and how it would affect our country. 2/28 – Burke County GOP Lincoln-Reagan Dinner at the Rec Center in Morganton. Gov.McCrory, Senator Tillis, and Representative Mark Meadows will be attending. Tickets are $10/person. EMAIL Chuck Parris for details. This is a really good group of people working hard in an all Democrat county. UPDATE: They sold over 400 tickets and it looked like everybody showed up!! It was a great evening.

JANUARY 2015

Voting will be done by secret ballot.
