It’s a great day – Obama will pay for my mortgage and I won’t have to worry about putting gas in my car.  “If I help him. He’s gonna help me.” I wonder how that’s working out for her?

Obama stupidly says the police acted stupidly even though Obama didn’t know any of the details. Hmm? This whole story makes me question Obama’s judgment in delicate situations, but then he continued as if he had made the right decision. Ultimately making a mockery of the whole situation with a Beer Summit on the Whitehouse lawn.

I remember that this case ended up being a case where the professor ended looking like a fool for not cooperating with the police. When Office Crowley asked Prof Gates to speak to him, all Gates had to do was tell Crowley that he lived in that house and show some ID. Crowley would have gone on his way. No big deal.  … But NO!! Prof. Gates has to act belligerently towards Crowley and never indicated that he lived in that home. Gates sworn, yelled names, and would not talk to the officer. (Not the way to conduct yourself when the police are trying to protect YOUR property.)

If I were trying to break into my own home, because I forgot/lost/left the key.  I would be happy the police came to check on my property. What if I wasn’t the home owner? Then to police should be making an arrest.  That’s what we expect from our police officers. Isn’t it?

This is not a matter of race. It is a matter of common decency. At no time did Prof. Gates respect the job Officer Crowley was doing. Officer Crowely was just trying to find out who Gates was and if he belong there — because a neighbor called about a break-in.  Jeez!
