8/27 – YADKIN VALLEY TEA PARTY will be hosting FoxNews contributor and Retired ICE Special Agent Mike Cutler at their next meeting 8/27 at 7pm at Iredell County Public Library in Statesville, NC. This is a rare chance to meet and better understand the issue of terrorism and how our immigration system is failing our nation’s national security interest.

Lack of School Signs on Hwy 90/64 Warning Drivers of NEW William Lenoir Middle School
Judy spent all afternoon on the phone and seeing in person numerous people from City, County, and DOT trying to get signs up warning drivers of the new school opening and potential traffic problems. No one would or could do anything because of NCDOT rules or laws regarding signage. She continued to make calls through the weekend. The Lieutenant Governor’s office and NC Senator Dan Soucek have worked on this for us. Continue reading

Candidate for NC Superintendent of Public Instruction Rosemary Fernandez-Stein
8/25 – Candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction Rosemary Fernandez-Stein will address the Caldwell County Republican Women at Bud’s Diner on Hwy 18 in Lenoir at 7pm (6pm for dinner). Stein has strong opinions on Common Core and the developmental appropriateness of the curriculum. She is a pediatrician and sees the emotional damage done by Common Core on a daily basis.
